Vrinkesh – The Divine Home

Ketty was a bachelor of economics from a local university. Her mother and she were on the ninth cloud on the day of her graduation. Since then to now for two years she is working in a small office as a typist under a notary officer. She hardly thought of anything beyond this. Her life was perfect. She had a bunch of friends that she used to hang out with every next day. She used to go to church with her mother every weekend. She never had lived with her father. He was an alchoholic man whom her mother had divorced when she was 2 years old. Ketty was the only life of her mother. Her mother used to do laundries for people of their small town. They had a small cottage that they both lived in. She had a small salary and she hardly saved any pennies out of it. It was age to have fun and travel with her friends. She was just 21 when she graduated.

One day when she came back to home she found her granny there. Her mom had not visited her mother’s place since 3 years. Katty was filled with rejoice. But her granny seemed worried. Her husband died last month. And her neighbor Fred is threatening her since then to leave her own house. It was the only place she had to live. She is living there since 20 years. And now someone came to tell that it is not hers.

Granny has a son and a daughter which is katty’s mom. Granny’s son is a drug addict and beats everyone who comes around. Therefore katty and her mom is the only family she has who can help her.

Katty has studied a bit of law in her college. And thus she knows its coercion and illegal. The next morning she went to her college professor to ask for an advice. All that she told her was, “get a lawyer”

Katty went to the Mayor but his assistants denied her to see him. She took up for appointments of few lawyers of the town. But their fee was too big to afford for them.

Months passed. Katty fought her own case for her beloved Granny. Fred was very clever and took all the means to take the ownership. The judge was corrupt and took bribes. They lost the case.

Its 3 years after her graduation day that katty is feeling worth of her degree is zero. She went to the grave yard where her grand father was buried to tell him sorry that she could not help her granny where she cried a lot for losing her faith in herself and feeling worthless. She could do nothing for her old Granny.

Katty decided to study further. She chose “law” as her profession. She took up a post graduation course.

3 years later:

Katty is a graduate in law. She did her intern. And is enrolled in district court as an attorney pleader. Her earning is increased. And they are buying a new house in the town. Granny and her mother are elated to see their daughter as a lawyer at the cost of an old cottage.
