My soul guardian: Shri Vishnu 💜
I had a room mate, Binni Di, whose one of the close friend, Rehu Di, often used to visit us. She was a kind hearted personality and that is why we gelled up quite easily.
Few months down the line I got to know her life is quite disturbed. She loved someone who belonged to a different religion and refused to marry her after such a close relationship.
No matter how strong a person is some attachments have the power to destroy us from within and that destruction was truly reflecting in her persona every single day. Destruction is deep on one’s mind when an attachment hits hard like a parent abandoning a dependent child.
People choose xyz thing over a person who loved them from the core of their heart without concerning about the impact of that outcome on the person. People will come and go at their choice. It will break your heart and mind from the core. But giving up on life is not a brave choice.
When the core of our hearts gets entangled with a materialistic event, person or outcome, it has the power to damage us from our emotional root. One fine day, if you come accross such an event in your life when that core is shattered, have courage to hold the breathe. Have courage to wake up in the morning and eat and sleep well. Just survive for few weeks and months or even years. Stop comparing yourself to those unspoken standards and allow yourself to be called a failure, a rejected human. It is okay to let people go. It is okay to feel abandoned. It is okay to fail. It is okay to get rejected. It is okay to let the world outshine you. It is okay to be lesser than the best. Accept your short falls. Own your mistakes. Feel the pain. Cry it out. Let it break you. And let your emotions roll down in tears. Just survive and pat your back that you went through this and chose to stay alive. But forgive the people who caused you that emotional pain. Bless that soul for an awakening to become kind and let it go. Also note that sometimes people are not wrong, their situations are. Sometimes their perspective is unfit for your best. I repeat, bless that soul and let it go. Repeat that to yourself till you heal and forgive.
Over the period of time, observe your emotions. They do not come as straight line. They come as waves. Feel the pain but also notice the intensity when that pain lowers its bar. The emotional pain will not be same through out the year. It will rise and will come down. It may rise again, but have faith and trust your inner power. You are stronger than your pain.
Fight with this and prove that you can survive and shine. There can be people who want you to break and you don’t want to see them watching you break down. Your break down is their victory. And to reverse the table you need to survive and win over this emotion. They want to prove you a failure and a socially rejected piece. Fight to prove them wrong.
Also notice that, healing takes practice and is a long run work. But if done continuously it helps to ease out the pain and it also teaches our mind to handle the additional pain coming more wisely.
Personally I try “Musical Meditation” for healing whenever I feel low, disappointed, abandoned or just anything disturbing. I have my personalized spiritual playlist which I listen while I sleep, while I travel and whenever an empty moment hits me hard or whenever I feel crying is not enough to handle a day or night.
How a playlist helps? Reason one is it is super easy to access. And reason two is the positive words of spiritual songs acts like healthy affirmations which fills the mind with strength.
Mind acts like a software program. It acts based on what you feed in. Your pain is also nothing but an emotional code playing in loop. Replace that with another code. Musical healthy affirmations are a great alternative to build a healthy mind. And that is why spiritual songs help.
You must have heard meditation is medicine for emtional pain. But I find simply sitting and closing the eyes a little difficult because mind gets restless. While musical meditation has proven a little heavenly for me because it calms down the nervous system. Some magical musical words with meditation of few hours and the emotions get settled pretty well in that wave of painful memories.
Try it sometime, especially when the life gives an unexpected harsh reality check.
Your mind moulds you into the person you permit it to become. You become what you accept to become. You are bigger than your problems. You have the power within you to destroy the destruction. And you have the power to become a beast or a saint…..
